Inc. separated from Kolon Industries, Inc. in March 2001.

Kolon Industries, Inc. was established in 1957 and launched Korea's synthetic
fiber production line.

For the past 44 years, the company has been engaged in ongoing research &
development, helping to ensure that it remains the industry leader for many
years to come.

In 1996, the company has expanded its business
scope to the water purifier business under the HIFIL brand. After 5 years later,
Kolon decided to separate the Water Purifier business team from the company
so as to respond to the market environment more speedily. In March 2001, finally,
HIFIL Tech, Inc. made a small but hopeful
step to the world. We are sure that HIFIL will be the most faithful brand famous
for best products in the new millennium.
